It supplements our main Privacy Policy, which describes our other uses and sharing of information. If there is a conflict about information collected through the Affiliate Program, this policy applies.

By joining the Affiliate Program, you signify your approval of the terms set out in this Privacy Policy and our other terms and conditions. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you are not eligible to use the affiliate marketing system.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our privacy practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new “Last updated” date. By continuing in our Affiliate Program after changes are posted, you agree to the revised policy.

Who Is Responsible for Your Information

Three Foragers Inc. is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We use UpPromote as our service provider to run the Affiliate Program, and UpPromote processes this information on our behalf.

Information We Collect from Affiliates

When you apply to join the Program, we collect your name, email address, PayPal payout details, and website or social media information. This helps us evaluate your application, track referrals, calculate and pay commissions, and contact you as needed.

Information We Collect from Customers You Refer

To track qualifying orders made through the Affiliate Program, when a customer visits our website through an affiliate link or coupon and makes a purchase, or makes a later purchase while the referral cookie is active, our affiliate system collects information from their order, such as the order total, order items and order ID. We use this information only to attribute orders and calculate commissions.

Cookies

“Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. They are created when a user’s browser loads a particular website. The website sends information to the browser, which then creates a text file. Every time the user goes back to the same website, the browser retrieves and sends this file to the website’s server.

If you refer a customer, we set a referral cookie on their device that lasts up to 30 days so that we can credit your commission. Because cookies allow the affiliate marketing system to track referrals, we recommend that you leave them turned on.

Information Sharing

Ensuring your privacy is important to us. We do not share your personal information with third parties except as described in this privacy policy and our main Privacy Policy. We share affiliate information with:

• our service provider UpPromote, which runs the Affiliate Program on our behalf;
• our processor Shopify, which powers our online store; and
• PayPal, which we use to send you your commission.

Third-party service providers have access to personal information only as needed to perform their functions, and they must process it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We may also share personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request, or to otherwise protect our rights. We may also disclose your personal information to any third party with your prior consent.

Retention

We keep affiliate information for as long as you take part in the Program, and afterward as needed for payouts, tax and legal records, unless you ask us to erase it. Records we are required to keep will be retained even after an erasure request.

International Transfers

Our service providers may process and store information outside Canada, including in the United States.

Automated Decisions

Fraud rules may automatically decline affiliate applications or withhold or reject commissions. If you believe a decision was made in error, contact us at info@threeforagers.ca and a person will review it.

Text Messages

We do not use your information for SMS marketing through the Affiliate Program.

Children

The Affiliate Program is not intended for children. Only adults, defined as those at or above the age of majority in their province or state of residence, are eligible to take part. This matches the age requirement in our Terms of Service.

Your Rights

You have rights over your personal information, and we take reasonable steps to allow you to access, correct, amend, delete, port, or limit the use of your personal information. If you wish to exercise these rights, please contact us at info@threeforagers.ca. We may require acceptable verification of your identity before providing access to such information.

UpPromote processes affiliate information on our behalf. If you contact UpPromote directly about your information, it can only forward your request to us so that we can respond.
